Senggigi is one of the ports in the West Lombok and is generally used by speedboats that carry passengers from / to Bali and 3 Gilis. This port is well known as Senggi Beach Harbor and most popular due to the location is in the central of main tourism in Lombok, which is only 500meters from the main road of Senggig and takes approximately 20 minutes from Mataram. Senggigi Beach Harbor is also the most luxurious port compared to other ports in Lombok. There are only 2 boats that offer daily trip from /to Bali – Sengigi; Mahi-Mahi Dewata and Super Scoot. There are also 3 boats offer daily interisland trip; Gili Getaway, Mahi-Mahi and Scoot.Senggigi is the main tourism center and the most develop tourism area on Lombok. The beachfront is currently undergoing “revitalization” by the West Lombok Tourism Department, which threatens to ruin the nature beauty of beach. It can became very crowded and is best avoided on Sundays and public holidays. However, many more beautiful beaches exist just minutes away to the north. One of the most spectacular sights on the island is the sunset viewed from Senggigi Beach, with the bright orange sun sinking into the sea to the west and Bali’s Gunung Agung Volcano silhouetted on the horizon like a giant pyramid floating in the ocean.Senggigi is a relaxing and attractive place to stay, with a good range of luxury hotels and resorts, as well as mid-range and budged accommodations. There are many restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets. At night you can enjoy live music at the bars or dance the night away at the nightclubs. There are also couples of supermarkets, art shops, tourist information, money-changers, numerous ATM’s, a post office, spa and other tourist facilities.
